Hot days under sunny skies giving way to late-afternoon clouds and thunderstorms were on the weather menu for northern Utah on Thursday.
Along the Wasatch Front, high temperatures were to range into the low-90s, some 10 degrees warmer than Wednesday's forecast.
Southern Utahns looked for triple-digit heat on Thursday with only breezes of 15-25 mph offering relief. That forecast, too, was about a 10-degree temperature hike from Wednesday.
The Utah Division of Air Quality predicted "yellow," or compromised air quality for most regions statewide into the end of the work week, though Carbon, Tooele and Cache counties earned "green," or healthy breathing grades.
The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website's pollen index on Wednesday was "high" only for grass, with other allergens low.
