Provo police have a person of interest in a series of arson fires, and on Wednesday they released store security camera images of him allegedly buying gasoline.

The images were captured at a 7-Eleven store at Geneva and Center streets — just an hour before fire erupted from a nearby abandoned home at 1585 W. Center St. about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

It was second suspicious fire at the downtown Provo structure in less than two months. Investigators also were looking into two other field fires in the area as possibly having been set by the same person.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has information on this case is asked to call Provo police at 801-852-6210.
