A Nevada woman died when her SUV rolled on Interstate 15 about 9 miles south of Cedar City.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said Tamara Gross, 49, of Mesquite, Nev., was traveling southbound about 5 p.m. Tuesday when her 2003 Ford Excursion drifted toward the median. Gross apparently overcorrected as she steered back onto the freeway and then lost control.
The vehicle slid into the median and rolled twice, landing on its side.
Gross was wearing a seatbelt but still sustained fatal, traumatic head injuries and was dead at the scene.
What caused the victim's vehicle to initially drift remained under investigation.
