It's a battle between two of hip-hop's biggest stars — and it's coming to Utah.

Promoters today announced the Drake vs. Lil Wayne Tour, a 31-city concert tour with rappers Drake and Lil Wayne co-headlining. One of the stops, on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m., is at Usana Amphitheatre, 5150 S. 6055 West, West Valley City.

Lil Wayne — the performing name of Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. — started his rap career at age 9, signing in 1991 with Cash Money Records. His first solo album, "The Block Is Hot," was released in 1999. His biggest-selling album, "Tha Carter III" (2008), went triple platinum. He has said that his next album, "Tha Carter V" (due later this year), will be his last.

The Toronto-born Drake signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money Records in 2009. He has generated such hits as "Headlines," "Make Me Proud" (featuring Nicki Minaj) and "Hold On, We're Going Home." His chart-topper "The Motto," which featured Lil Wayne, helped popularize the acronym "YOLO" (for "you only live once").

Tickets — ranging from $35 to $125.50 — go on sale Friday, June 20, at Smith's Tix outlets.
