Searchers on Saturday found the body of a Moab man who disappeared along the Colorado River.

San Juan County sheriff's deputies and National Park Service rangers found Casey Menuey's body about 10:30 a.m. in the river at the mouth of Monument Basin. He went missing June 6 at Lathrop Canyon.

Menuey's rafting party stopped to look at some ruins. When they returned to their raft, Menuey, 33, was gone. He was not wearing a floation device and a press release from the sheriff's office said alcohol also was a factor in the death.
