Fire Conditions • Much of western, southern Utah under a red flag warning.

It's a warm and partly cloudy Father's Day for Utah, before a storm rolls in later this week.

After a cool Saturday, warm temperatures returned Sunday with a projected high of 81 degrees in Salt Lake City. Monday will see the same high temperature, before a storm arrives Tuesday and drops the daytime peak to 69 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The storm could bring some rain across northern Utah.

St. George is expected to see a high of 96 degrees Sunday, followed by 95 degrees Monday and only a slightly cooler Tuesday, with a projected peak at 92.

In the meantime, red flag warnings, another name for critical fire conditions, are in effect from noon Sunday until 10 p.m. Tuesday. The affected areas include much of western and southern Utah, according to the National Weather Service.
