The World Cup costs billions to put on and rakes in millions for FIFA, but what do the players earn for their participation in the summer tournament?

According to this report from Yahoo! Sports and an earlier report from Sports Illustrated, players on the U.S. Men's National Team are scheduled to make at least $76,000 each.

For well-compensated superstars like Clint Dempsey and Michael Bradley, it's a pittance, but for the two Real Salt Lake players in the U.S. squad, it's a pretty nice chunk of change.

According to Spotrac.com, RSL midfielder Kyle Beckerman is scheduled to make $378,750 this year, while goalkeeper Nick Rimando will be paid $235,833. That World Cup bonus is just under 21 percent of Beckerman's entire 2014 RSL salary and 32 percent of Rimando's.

Not bad for a "summer vacation" in Brazil.
