Unified Police have asked for the public's help in locating and bringing to justice a suspect in the holdup of a US Bank branch in Taylorsville.

The suspect — described as a 5-foot-8 white man in his 40s, with a muscular build and wearing a black-and-gray rain coat, black knit cap and blue jeans — walked into the bank at 4135 S. Redwood Road just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

He approached a teller with a note demanding cash and then fled on foot after receiving the money.

UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal said no weapons were displayed during the crime.

A subsequent search of the area around the bank was fruitless, so UPD on Friday released an image capture from the bank's security camera in hopes someone might recognize the man.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call UPD at 385-468-9814.
