This weekend on TV: Comedy contest on TBS; weird singing contest on ABC

The comedy competition Funniest Wins premieres tonight (Friday, 8 p.m., TBS), and one of the contestants has a local tie.Californian Key Lewis was the winner of the 2013 Rocky Mountain Laugh Off at Wise Guys in West Valley City; he's one of 10 comics competing on "Funniest Wins," which is hosted by Marlon Wayans.Also this weekend, ABC's Rising Star (Sunday, 8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4)" promises to "completely reinvent the traditional singing competition" because viewers can vote via an App in real time to determine who advances.Except that this only works in the time zones where the program airs live - so it leaves those of us in the Mountain Time Zone and further west out.
