Five teenagers were hurt, one critically, in a single-vehicle rollover crash late Monday night in St. George.

St. George police Sgt. Jim Despain said the crash occurred about 10 p.m. on southbound Valley View Drive near 700 North. Both speed and alcohol were believed to be factors, he said.

The unlicensed, 15-year-old female driving the SUV was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital in Las Vegas with severe, critical head injuries. Four male passengers, ages 15 to 18, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of less-serious broken bones, cuts and bruises.
