The volts and bleeps were flying at West Valley City's police academy.

West Valley City on Tuesday posted a video to its Facebook page showing a police trainer firing a Taser at recruit Bruce Armstrong as two other trainers hold Armstrong and help him to the floor

Armstrong is heard yelling. Judging by the audio edits, he uttered a few choice words, too.

Police officers typically must be certified to use Tasers. The certification process often requires the officer to be shocked with the Taser so they know how it feels and the effect it has on the body.
