In the days since his dog was shot and killed by a Salt Lake City police officer, Sean Kendall has garnered considerable support on a Facebook page, organized a rally and met with police department officials. He wants the officer who killed Geist the dog to be held accountable and training for officers improved.
On Wednesday at 12:15 p.m., Kendall, Carl Arky of the Humane Society of Utah and Janis Bradley of the National Canine Research Council join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about how common violent encounters between police and dogs are and how they can be prevented.
