Don't look now, but there's a cow in the Art Yard the children's interactive art section of the Utah Arts Festival.
There also are a goat and some chickens, and they all seem to be getting along nicely with the children.
The farm animals are fabric-and-paint constructions, and children are invited to draw and color them with pastels provided.
There's also a garden, consisting of flowers made from construction-paper petals glued to pieces of paper-towel rolls. The flowers are attached to wire "stems" to create a multi-colored walk-through experience.
There's a lot of other stuff in the Art Yard: A stage where young dancers and musicians perform; hands-on crafts; the Toddler Area for kids 4 and under; the Fear No Film Kids! short film programs; and the musical instrument "petting zoo," which gives children a chance to test-drive an instrument.
