Letter: Photo sends wrong bike message

C'mon Salt Lake Tribune! Your article ("Imagine biking in SLC without fear of autos," June 26) prominently features a photo of two parents riding bikes on 600 East without helmets.

Bike accidents are the third leading cause of brain injury in Utah, and helmet use reduces the potential of brain injury by as much as 85 percent. A picture speaks a thousand words, and your photo says it's OK not to wear a helmet.
