A car hit a TRAX train in West Jordan on Friday afternoon, causing injuries and delaying trains.

A train was passing through a crossing near 9000 South and 3400 West about 1:10 p.m., when a car stopped at the crossing went through the arms and collided with the train, said Utah Transit Authority spokesman Remi Barron. The driver of the vehicle went to the hospital in serious condition, Barron said.

One person on the train also complained of leg pain, Barron added.

Trains were delayed 5 to 10 minutes.
