A Fort Duchesne man critically injured in a June 26 motorcycle accident has succumbed to his injuries.

Uintah County sheriff's Corporal Brian Fletcher said 45-year-old Albert Lance Manning lost control and crashed into a bar pit about 3 miles south of the eastern Utah town of Ballard. He was not wearing a helmet.

Unconscious and unresponsive, Manning was found by a passerby who called 911.

He was rushed to Uintah Basin Medical Center and then flown by helicopter to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, where he died on Independence Day, according to an obituary.
