A Magna woman remained in critical condition Tuesday, the day after the car she was in rolled off a frontage road near Interstate 15 in south Davis County.

Sheriff's Sgt. Susan Poulsen said no change in the condition of 22-year-old Paula Florez. The same was true for Tyler Cotter, 21, of Salt Lake City, the other occupant of the car, who was seriously injured.

Both victims were being treated at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

The accident occurred at 12:24 a.m. Monday when a southbound white Dodge Caliber left the road near 500 South in North Salt Lake, rolled several times through a fence and ejected Florez.

Poulsen said alcohol and speed were believed to have been factors leading to the crash.
