Wednesday on TV: 'Extant' is definitely weird and maybe good

CBS debuts the summer series Extant (8 p.m., Ch. 2) - which is sort of intriguing. Halle Berry stars as Molly Woods, an astronaut who spent the past year all alone in space and returns to Earth pregnant. Which is weird.

So is the fact that she returns to her husband (Goran Visnjic, "ER") and their robot child (Pierce Gagnon). Really.

There's weirdness and conspiracies and sort of stuff. But whether it pans out, only time - and a few more episodes - will tell.
