Horse racing: CR Luke tops Maiden Challenge field at Wyoming Downs

Evanston, Wyo. • CR Luke, an impressive winner in the trials, seeks his fourth straight victory Saturday in the $31,062 AQHA Maiden Challenge at Wyoming Downs.

Off his impressive string of victories this year, CR Luke has been made the 2-to-1 morning line favorite in the 400-yard race.

Owned and trained by Dean Hodson, CR Luke drew the No. 7 post in the 10-horse field and will be ridden by jockey Jesus Virgen.

Also entered is Honest Eagle, the fastest qualifier in the trials who is listed at 7-to-2 in the morning line. Honest Eagle is owned by Famous Lane Farms, trained by Chris Mitchell and will be ridden by Oscar Cervantes.
