Logan — The Utah State women's basketball team will play 13 non-conference games this season, including four against in-state rivals Utah, BYU, Utah Valley and Westminster College.

Coach Jerry Finkbeiner announced the schedule on Wednesday.

Utah Valley visits Logan on Nov. 20 before the Aggies travel to Utah on Dec. 3. A home game against Westminster follows on Dec. 6 before Utah State concludes preparation for the Mountain West Conference season by playing host to BYU on Dec. 22.

The Aggies open with an exhibition game against Western New Mexico on Nov. 3. They start the regular season with a trip to Oregon State (Nov. 14) and Oregon (Nov. 16).

Following the home opener against Utah Valley, Utah State participates in the BTI Classic in Waco, Texas, on Nov. 28-30. In the tournament, the Aggies will play Stetson, Marist and host Baylor. Marist and Baylor played in the NCAA tournament last year. Stetson reached the WNIT.

Along with the games against Utah, Westminster and BYU, Utah State's non-league schedules concludes with a home game against Northern Colorado (Dec. 14) and road games at Pacific (Dec. 16) and Sacramento State (Dec. 19).

"... This [schedule] prepares us for the tough Mountain West," Finkbeiner said.
