Utah's weekend temperatures — welcome to the 90s

The highs along the Wasatch Front should range from the low to upper 90s this weekend, with the possibility of rain Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Also in the forecast for northern Utah on Saturday are areas of smoke from fires burning in Western states.

Temperatures in Salt Lake City, Ogden and Logan are predicted to reach the mid 90s on Saturday, with the highs dropping a few degrees on Sunday.

Provo should see highs in the upper 90s on Saturday and about 90 on Sunday. Park City's highs are predicted to be slightly cooler, about 90 on Saturday and the upper 80s on Sunday.

The chance of rain Sunday ranges from 20 percent to 30 percent along the Wasatch Front, according to the weather service.

There also is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in southern Utah on Saturday night and Sunday during the day. The temperature in St. George and Zion National Park is forecast to climb to 101 on Saturday and around 100 on Sunday.
