A man was critically injured Saturday in a head-on crash.
The 63-year-old man was heading north on 900 East, when he pulled off to the side of the road at 6395 South to make a U-turn, said Unified Police Detective Ken Hansen. But he over-corrected, turning his Mazda head-on into a northbound SUV at 8:38 p.m., Hansen said.
The man had to be extricated from his Mazda and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The two people in the SUV were in good to fair condition, Hansen said.
The crash remains under investigation.
