Tuesday on TV: HBO's 'Real Sports' exposes soccer stadium death spiral in Qatar

We just got through the 2014 World Cup - congratulations, Germany - but Real Sports (8 p.m., HBO) looks ahead two more cycles to the 2022 World Cup scheduled in Qatar.

It's not so much about how bribery was involved in getting the games to this tiny, hot nation that is totally unsuited for hosting a summer event. It's about "how this tiny, wealthy country has in recent years conducted an obsessive campaign to achieve glory through sport at seemingly any cost, including human lives."

If the death rate continues unabated, more people will die building soccer stadiums in Qatar than died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
