Wyoming Downs: Wilmas Alright Now breezes to victory

Evanston, Wyo. • Wilmas Alright Now surged to the lead shortly after the start and raced to an overpowering victory Saturday in the $30,650 Gary Waite 89-and-Under Stakes at Wyoming Downs.

Ridden by jockey Tyson Lusk, Wilmas Alright Now covered the 400 yards in a sizzling 19.566 seconds and defeated 2-to-1 betting favorite GL Give Me a Sign by 11/4 lengths.

Trained by Michael Monson, Wilmas Alright has now won five of nine starts. The winner's share of $13,794 bumped the three-year-old's career earnings to over $25,000 for owner John L. Erickson.

Racing at Wyoming Downs resumes Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
