Evanston, Wyo. • Apply stalked the early pace, opened a clear lead the stretch and held off Thirteengoldhearts on Sunday to win the $8,000 allowance feature at Wyoming Downs.

Owned by Nancy Hoffman and Linda Holson and trained by Chet Child, Apply was sent off at 9-to-2 in the wagering and finished one-half length in front of Thirteengoldhearts. Even-money favorite Sapata showed speed out of the gate but faded and finished sixth in the seven-horse field.

Apply, a 6-year-old Kentucky-bred son of First Samurai, covered the five furlongs on 56.57 seconds under jockey Nathan Condie.
