Letter: 'Letter of the Week' on leggings was insipid

The insipid Letter of the Week ("Leggings aren't pants, girls," August 3) was a shock.
Usually the Tribune's choice of salient letters highlighted as Letter of the Week tend to deal with issues of consequence. The popularity of leggings is hardly one of those.
Perhaps the editorial staff responsible for choosing suitable letters to print is trying to change the Salt Lake Tribune to Salt Lake Tribune Lite, a step toward its demise.
