Provo • A 26-year-old Brigham Young University student has been arrested after officials say he broke into the schools computer system to change his grades.

Lindon Police and BYU Police arrested Gabriel Camacho on Monday afternoon after his former employer found files belonging to BYU and the company on the student's USB drive.

BYU Police Lt. Arnold Lemmon says university technicians noticed a security breach in January.

Lemmon says Camacho installed a device on a staff member's computer that allowed him to collect passwords, hack in and change a test score.

The Daily Herald reports Camacho was booked into the Utah County Jail on suspicion of burglary, seven counts of identity fraud and four counts of computer crimes.

Jail records show he was held Tuesday evening on a $2,500 bond.
