Public safety dispatchers confirm the fiery crash of a car early Thursday morning on eastern Utah's Ute Indian Reservation claimed one life.

The crash, near Whiterocks in Uintah County, occurred just after midnight when the car reportedly crashed into a tree outside a home.

The sheriff's office, tribal police and the Bureau of Indian Affairs were jointly investigating the crash, but no other details — including the identity of the victim — were immediately available.
