Syracuse police said Saturday that no charges will be filed against the driver of a pickup truck who backed over a teenager sunbathing on a driveway.
The 15-year-old was sunbathing about noon Friday in her driveway, near 2700 South and 3000 West, when a family member backed up, not knowing she was there, said Syracuse police officer Erin Behm.
The girl was taken in a medical helicopter to a local hospital, where she remained in critical condition Saturday.
"This is a very tragic accident and our thoughts and prayers are with the girl and her family," the Syracuse Police Department said in a statement released Saturday.
