Two people were seriously hurt early Monday morning in a crash on State Road 199 near the western Tooele County town of Terra.

Tooele County Sheriff's Sgt. Tim Kincaid said the 4:08 a.m. crash occurred in Johnson's Pass when an eastbound car driven by a 19-year-old man apparently lost control on a curve and drifted into the westbound lane, colliding with a vehicle driven by a man in his mid-50s.

Both men were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, Kincaid said.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.
