A week-long series of thunderstorms and rain showers will give way to dissipating clouds and sunshine heading into Utah's weekend.

While a Flash Flood Watch remained in effect for the eastern third of the state through Thursday night, drier weather was to rule beginning Friday.

The Wasatch Front looked for highs around 90 degrees on Friday, the same as forecast for Thursday.

Southern Utahns were on schedule to see Thursday's partly cloudy skies give way to sunny horizons on Friday, with highs then in the mid-90s — up a few degrees from Thursday's forecast.

The Utah Division of Air Quality rated the entire state in the "green," or healthy air quality category heading to the latter part of the work week.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website listed chenopods as "very high" and mold "high," while other allergens were graded "low" on the pollen index as of Wednesday.
