Letter: Where was the Public Forum? | The Salt Lake Tribune

I was appalled to open Monday's Opinion page and find there were no Public Forum letters and no explanation as to why not.

Now, I am bearing with the Trib and its budget cuts. I realize its had to cut out many features and editorials. But Forum letters? I'm already trying to get used to Sunday's letter depletion, but Monday, too? To me the only good things left in the paper on Monday are the Forum letters and Paul Rolly's column. I am not the least bit interested in LDS Church-related news which lately The Trib seems to publish in abundance.

I find it hard to believe that nobody is writing letters or that it costs too much to publish them. So what's really going on? There's a lot of opinions here in Utah and it's always interesting to read them. Have they all fallen silent?

The first thing I turn to every morning is the Opinion page. Without it, I'm not sure I would continue to subscribe to this skeleton of a newspaper The Tribune has become.
