I just read Charlee Kone's letter ("Where was the Forum?" Tribune, August 20) and the editor's note that followed explaining that Monday's letters to the editor are prepared on the previous Friday and that the Tribune was plum out of publishable letters for last Monday's edition.
I can believe it. For one, I know I don't write as often as I used to, and two, I think the quality of some of my letters has fallen below the publishability standards, and so other contributors might be experiencing the same thing.
I would like to submit this letter as an offering to have something published next Monday because, like Kone, I relish the connection to other letter writers. However, I don't have much to say. I have a summer cold right now, first time ever. Love the rain we've been having. Getting ready to move; just retired, what a wonderful thing that is. Happy Monday all.
