Utah State's gymnastics team received some good news Thursday with its conference, the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference, being officially sanctioned by the NCAA.Sanctioned sports and conferences have the benefit of more financial resources and exposure thanks to the partnership with the NCAA. The Aggies compete in the conference with Boise State, BYU, Denver and Southern Utah. The conference formed last year and had a good showing with each team reaching the NCAA Regional Championships and finish in the Top 36. The Aggies finished 3-7 overall. The 2015 regular season will end with the MRGC Championship, hosted by Denver. "We are looking forward to the level of competition and high ranks of our competitors in the MRGC," Utah State coach Nadalie Walsh said. "I'm just glad the NCAA decided to reward our efforts in creating the league."
