Former Utah Jazz legend Karl Malone threw down an ice bucket challenge to fans via social media on Wednesday.

On Thursday, they took up the challenge and had buckets of ice water thrown over their shivering selves at EnergySolutions Arena.

Jazz executives Jim Olson and Don Stirling were among those who accepted the challenge.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge trend has been raising awareness of and funds for ALS or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
