Motocross • Oklahoma rider wins both motos; German tops teammate Dungey for crown.

Tooele • Honda rider Trey Canard won both 450cc class motos on Saturday during the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series stop at Miller Motorsports Park.

In the 250cc class, Yamaha's Jeremy Martin capped his run to the season championship with a double victory.

In the first 450cc class race, Canard defeated Ryan Dungey by seven seconds. Ken Roczen finished third and Eli Tomac placed fourth.

It was more of the same for Oklahoma resident Canard in the second moto, when he again led wire-to-wire and finished eight seconds ahead of Dungey. Tomac edged Roczen for third place.

"I've gotten more comfortable [lately]," Canard said. "It's no secret we made bike changes and it was instant for me in gaining more confidence. I really have to attribute that to the team. ... I just wanted to put two motos together to give us momentum going into next year."

In the season championship race, KTM's Roczen prevailed by 14 points over teammate Dungey.

Roczen is the first German native to win a Lucas Oil Pro Motocross championship. He is the 23rd different champion in the series' 43-year history.

Among local riders in the 450cc class motos, Riley Brough of Kaysville finished 33rd and 34th, respectively. Colby Sorensen of Lehi was 34th and 33rd. In the 250cc class, Landen Powell of South Jordan finished 20th in both motos. Dalton Oxborrow of Lehi finished 31st and 32nd.
