Two killed in Box Elder County crash

Two people died Saturday evening in a Box Elder County car crash.

A 15-year-old boy and a 66-year-old woman were driving in Willard when they were broadsided at 750 N. Main Street about 5:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Willard Police Department. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The 31-year-old Cache County driver of a 2006 Toyota Tundra was treated for minor injuries and released from the Brigham City Hospital, according to the release.

"The accident is under investigation and will be reviewed by the Box Elder County Attorney's Office," the release adds.

Police are waiting to release the names of the deceased until they can notify their next of kin. The boy was from Salt Lake County, and the woman was from Box Elder County, according to the release.
