Police confirmed they are investigating a "suspicious death" after finding a man's body Sunday in a South Ogden home.

South Ogden Police Chief Darin Parke declined on Monday to discuss details about how 52-year-old Donald Donkin died, citing the ongoing and preliminary nature of the investigation.

He said Donkin's body was found when officers, responding to a 911 call, entered a home at 666 E. 4500 South at 10:37 a.m. Sunday. Donkin was transient and did not live at the home where he was found, police have said.

The man's remains were turned over to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
