Monday on TV: Wish Seth Meyers luck as he hosts the Emmys

Seth Meyers hosts the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards (6 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5), and I'm rooting for him to do well in what is generally a thankless job.

As for the awards themselves, don't take them too seriously. I know they're supposed to be hugely prestigious, but they are less legit this year than usual because of all the category-shopping that went on - like "Orange Is the New Black" nominated itself as a comedy because it couldn't possibly win as a drama. Or "True Crime" nominating itself as a series because it has a better shot than than as a miniseries.

Elsewhere on TV ...

Women college soccer (5:30 p.m., BYUtv): Washington State at BYU

Bachelor in Paradise (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Utah's very own Michelle Money is "devastated" when Robert spurns her for Sarah, but Michelle is still looking to connect with somebody.

Perhaps I've misjudged this show. Maybe it's supposed to be a comedy.

MasterChef (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): The remaining seven contestants cook savory apple dishes and pot stickers.

Dallas (7 and 9 p.m., TNT): A death casts a pall over Southfork; John Ross seeks redemption.

Hotel Hell (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): A Vermont hotel is overrun with pets.

America's Next Top Model (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Things get steamy during a nighttime photo shoot at a beach where the 14 finalists are chosen by Tyra and the judges.

Under the Dome (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Barbie is captured by a group of mysterious men.

Mistresss (9 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): April works with the FBI to help them find Paul.

Teen Wolf (11 p.m., MTV): Stiles and Malia discover the origins of the Dead Pool. (This is the same episode that aired on Sunday.)
