NCAA grants Utah State's Harris another year of eligibility

Logan • Utah State forward Sean Harris has been granted a medical waiver by the NCAA and will be eligible again next season.

Harris played five games in 2011-12 at Yuba (Calif.) College before suffering a knee injury. He was injured again prior to the 2012-13 season and did not play.

Last year, Harris saw action in 10 games for Utah State. He started on Senior Night against Wyoming and finished with four points and three rebounds. He ended up being voted the Aggies' most inspirational player by his teammates.

"We are delighted that Sean was granted an additional year," said coach Stew Morrill. "His knee appears to be healthy, his work habits will help all our new players and his leadership as our only senior will be invaluable."

Utah State opens the season with a pair of exhibition games against Texas A&M-International on Oct. 31 and Arkansas-Fort Smith on Nov. 7. The regular-season opener is Nov. 14 against Weber State.
