Unified Police are asking for the public's help with a shooting that left a man in serious condition.

About 1:25 a.m. Monday, police received several calls about gunshots near an apartment complex at 350 E. 7200 South in Midvale. When officers arrived, they found a white Cadillac in a parking lot with its windows broken out, said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal.

They also found blood in the lot and followed it back to one of the apartments, where they found an 18-year-old man with wounds in his lower extremities, Hoyal said.

Unified Fire Authority took the man to a hospital, where he was in serious condition.

"We have very limited suspect information," Hoyal said, but there may be a white Toyota Camry involved.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 801-743-7000.
