Letter: ALEC out to stop solar power

The fees proposed by Rocky Mountain Power may actually bode well for the solar industry and its advocates. Why else would ALEC be peddling the same legislation in so many states, if not to keep solar power from becoming ever more competitive with fossil fuels?

As for the charge that the panels are something only the well-to-do can afford, what of it? The telephone was once a rich man's toy, but it seems to have caught on. My neighborhood (near Liberty Park) is hardly an elite enclave, but roofs around here are starting to feed the grid.
