A barn filled with hay ignited early Friday in West Jordan.

There were no injuries to humans or animals, but the barn was destroyed. The barn was near 1100 W. 8400 South. The fire began about 4:30 a.m.

West Jordan Fire Department Battalion Chief Steve Holmes said investigators don't yet know what started the blaze.

The owner, Betty Naylor, told KUTV that her family lost 300 tons of hay and bailing equipment. Naylor is president of the Salt Lake County Farm Bureau, according to its website.
