Posted: 9:20 PM- An overflowing capacity of 15,447 people packed the Huntsman Center on Friday for the Utah-BYU gymnastics meet. Many who made up the largest crowd to ever witness a collegiate gymnastics meet probably came with the hopes of seeing Ashley Postell do something special in her final home performance.
She didn't disappoint as she scored a 10.0 on the balance beam, her third perfect score of her career on the event, to lead the second-ranked Utes past BYU 197.100-193.850. Postell also won the vault, floor and all-around, tying the school record for career wins with 112.
Utah oversold the Huntsman Center's capacity (15,000) to create a standing room only situation as fans filtered into what few seats they could find. The attendance broke the previous mark of 15,238 that attended a 1991 meet between the Utes and Cal CS-Fullerton.
