Davis County Fair guides are available

The Entertainment Guide and Fair Book detailing the day-to-day events at the 2008 Davis County Fair are now available. The fair opens Aug. 13 at noon at the Davis County Events Center in Farmington. The four-day event will feature activities including a demolition derby, fireworks, carnival rides, rock band tournaments and a petting zoo. Residents also can participate in competitions in Dutch-oven cooking, junior rodeo, quilting and other activities and crafts. Fair admission is free, but there is a charge for some events. The two booklets are free and can be found in the county's library and courthouse, city offices, Les Schwab Tire Centers, Horizon Credit Union and Mountain American Credit Union branches, Reams food stores, Rockin E Country Store, The American Cowboy, Davis County Events Center and online at www.davisfair.com.

The events center is located at 151 S. 1100 West in Farmington.
