The woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death at a campground reportedly told investigators he was going to kill her.

The boyfriend, Nathan D. Harris, pushed Monika Dilmaghanian to the ground twice and said, "I'm going to kill you," according to statements Dilmaghanian made to police.

Her statements appear with a criminal complaint filed Tuesday in 2nd District Court in Ogden charging Dilmaghanian with first-degree felony murder and three counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, a third-degree felony.

On Friday, Harris, 24, Dilmaghanian, 34, and her three children went to Weber Memorial Park east of Ogden. A police affidavit says the couple began arguing. Dilmaghanian claimed Harris pushed her down twice, according to the papers, and she told the children to get in their vehicle. Dilmaghanian began walking uphill toward the vehicle, too.

Dilmaghanian said Harris called her an expletive then said he would kill her.

"Monika stated she remembered grabbing her knife, which she kept on a chain hanging around her neck," according to the police affidavit. "The next thing she remembered was pulling the knife from Nathan's chest."

Dilmaghanian found a U.S. Forest Service ranger and reported the stabbing, police have said. Weber County deputies found Harris dead at the campground's entrance.

Dilmaghanian is in the Weber County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
