Sandy Riesgraf, formerly a reporter at KSTU Fox13, has been hired as director of communications at Jordan School District.

In a news release, Superintendent Patrice Johnson said Riesgraf will be responsible for "telling our story" and sharing the achievements of students, teachers and staff. Riesgraf also has been asked to expand the district's visibility on social media.

Riesgraf, a winner of the George Foster Peabody Award for investigative journalism, worked for KSTU for 13 years. The director of communications job has been vacant for nearly two years, since Jordan cut 200 positions in 2010.
