Posted: 2:45 PM- Real Salt Lake coach Jason Kreis was suspended one game and fined $1,000 by the MLS on Thursday for criticizing the league's officiating.

After Real Salt Lake's 2-2 tie at home against Los Angeles last Saturday, Kreis criticized MLS officials. His comments were published by the Deseret News in Tuesday's editions.

Kreis complained about "being wronged by critical referee decisions" and also said, "It's about time they start first off trying to be right, and then being fair. It's too many game-breaking calls, all of them against Real Salt Lake."

Kreis will miss Saturday's game against FC Dallas at Rice-Eccles Stadium. He will be allowed in the locker before the game, during halftime and after the game, but is not permitted to go on the field or sit in the press box.

During the game, he will be limited to a private suite or a team-provided reserved section.

On June 14, 2007, Kreis was ejected after receiving a red card and had to miss a subsequent game.
