A free conference on the educational needs of minority students is Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at West High School in Salt Lake City.

The conference will feature classes and speakers, including Christine Kearl, the governor's education deputy; Theresa Martinez, of the University of Utah; and Pastor France Davis, of the Calvary Baptist Church. Meals will be provided and child care and transportation will be available.
