Haylee Richards is a Lone Peak Elementary sixth-grader. She likes art and writing, but hates math. She spends much of her time out of school cheering for the Ignite All Star Cheer team, and recently took first place at the Americheer International cheer competition in Orlando, Fla.
Richards hopes to cheer at the University of Utah some day. She likes performing and was in Odyssey Dance Theatre's "Thriller." She also takes piano lessons and tumbling classes, to help improve her cheering. She also plays soccer, but likes cheering better.
Richards is a little worried about junior high, because she will be attending a different school than many of her friends.
Richards likes that Draper is still a smaller town and she can feel safe walking to friends' homes. Her only dislike with the area is the school lunch, especially the chicken dinner. She also wishes water was a school lunch option, as an alternative to milk.
